Introducing Asterism.
I’ve been planning to release the theme I use for my site, and several people have asked if they could use it, which is flattering. Now, I’ve tidied it up, and I’m introducing it as a public theme, which I’m calling Asterism. (This symbol is an asterism: ⁂. Patterns in the sky not officially recognized as constellations and an optical phenomenon seen in some gems can also be asterisms. I needed a name other than “plain, white, simple theme”, ok?)
For the moment, you can see it in action here on Daily Meh — I’m using a very slightly modified version of the theme I’m releasing — and download it here. I’m also submitting it to the Tumblr Theme Garden, in the hopes that it’ll be admitted sooner rather than later, which would make previewing and installing it a lot easier. For now, you know what to do.
This thing is pretty plain and doesn’t use all the features Tumblr has, such as notes, because that’s the way I like it. You can, of course, modify it for your own needs and tastes. As an example, Samuel Kelly, who asked and received permission to use the theme earlier, has de-serifed it and uses it in sans-serif glory.
Please let me know if anything breaks. (I take bug reports, not feature requests — but if you want to modify it, I might be able to give you some hints.)
