My package’s status is still listed as “exception”, but I got a note in the mail, so I went and picked it up. This is what it contained: the Panasonic Leica 25mm/1.4. So far, it performs as well as I could have hoped (but I’m far from a very skilled judge). Here’s one of the first shots I took with it: wide open and in low light, lightened up a bit.

For that price, I would certainly have liked the bragging rights of a red little Leica logo (the lens cap says “Lumix”), but optically, there’s nothing wrong with this lens.
