Too much art syndrome

A round of wiki-ing led me to a group of weird syndroms: Paris Syndrome, an illness principally affecting Japanese who travel to Paris and can’t get over the culture shock; Jerusalem Syndrome, in which people — some of them completely healthy — slip into religiously themed psychosis after arriving in Jerusalem; and Stendhal syndrome, which is a general term for experiencing too much great art at a time, and is associated with trips to Florence, where the renaissance heritage simply becomes too much for some and they literally go mad for a few days due to overexposure. I wonder if the latter two could be described as a malfunction of or “mental overheating” due to too much Elevation.

I also don’t know how common the occurence of these are, or how accurate Wikipedia is, but it seems there have been a few legitimate cases of these, and I find it fascinating.

Of course, everyone’s heard of Stockholm Syndrome, which has nothing to do with trips to Stockholm or art.
