Thesis Nonsense

Attempts to write an English thesis on nonsense in children’s literature.

The most interesting type of nonsense (indeed, the only one that is commonly interesting) is what the author of this blog calls “Structural/Mathematical Nonsense”. I mean, “ooga booga schlooga” gives no insight into anything (that would be “linguistic nonsense”), but Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions is brilliant and is, in my not so humble opinion, near the top of the “insightfulness” spectrum.
