If desktop Linux is always “getting better”, why do problems with simple things like this always happen?
Says Marco. I’m going to defend Linux for the second time today, despite admitting that it has its substantial share of problems. I don’t know if this is a real question or a rhetorical one, but anyway, the answer is that moving towards the better end of the scale does not perfection make. Even if simple things like this always happen, it doesn’t mean there has been no improvement. It only so happens that the improvement has been in other areas.
