I f%$king hate c*&% s**@ing mother%$&*ing linux.

Travors:

Me. Installed it on my old laptop yesterday and have spent 2 days now trying to get my wifi card to work.

I know the feeling. I used Ubuntu for two years, then got a new laptop in July. I spent almost a month, on-and-off, trying to get it to work. First, Ubuntu didn’t work due to a bug that had been known for at least a year, something involving the graphics card that apparently was harmless for all computers except mine, whose screen went irreparably black.

Then, I tried 10-15 other distros, many of which also failed during installation. I think I can honestly say I was desperate to use Linux rather than Windows. I got some of them to work, and lo! there was an official driver for my wifi card from Intel. Unfortunately, I followed the instructions several times to the best of my ability, on several distros, and I failed.

Now, I run Windows, and wish I’d bought a mac and got at least something vaguely unix-like.
