Ted Dziuba reviews Wolfram Alpha. (via inky)

I actually think that this thing could save me a lot of work (that I no doubt would be better off actually doing) in chemistry and math. I do wish it was a little smarter, though. I tried searching for “isomers of C4H10O” and “isomers C4H10O”, and Wolfram doesn’t know what to do with the data. It does suggest that I look at C4H10O, though, and sure enough, there are all the isomers, as well as the molar mass, which I didn’t ask for. That could and should work better.
