What arrived in the mail today. Its customs declaration has a “Detailed Description of Contents (1)” field filled simply with “Old camera”. It’s a Yashica-Mat, a model introduced in 1957, and as far as I can tell, it’s in working condition. I can’t wait to start using it, which is, of course, what I’ll have to do, since I don’t have any 120 film, and the local photo store doesn’t carry it.
Even so, without having exposed a single negative, I’m already in love with the finder, with its weird, mirrored image and its unreal focusing (whoa, 3d!).
